So Sad - Galaxy S2 Home Button #Fail - UPDATE: Fixed Itself. Weird.

It's a sad day. The menu button on my Samsung Galaxy S2 has ceased to function.  The cause is "unknown" but I vaguely recall having knocked it off the arm chair in a slightly drunken stupor.... Still, if that is in fact the cause, I find it quite surprising as the drop height was less than a meters and onto a wooden floor.  OK, so I didn't have a protective case on it, but come on - part of this phone's appeal is how slim it is. A case would render that design feature completely irrelevant. I've already arranged for a replacement handset to be sent out but apparently there may be a bit of a wait if my supplier is out of stock, AND they have to receive my phone back before they can send out the replacement. A few days without my Galaxy S2 will be difficult but on the up side - I'll get to unbox another brand new phone!

The problem may not have been of your doing. The menu button on my Galaxy s2 ceased functioning and my phone has not been dropped at any stage.

Same problem. Worked sometimes, worse over time. Now it's dead.

Buju, if you don't use the voice control, you can always use Titanium Backup to either uninstall it or freeze it.
