Samsung has finally announced the arrival of Ice Cream Sandwich for the Galaxy S2. The update will be live for many of you, while others including myself may still need to wait a little bit longer for our carriers to sort themselves out. From what we've seen on Sammy's sites, the Galaxy S2 update should be quite simple. Samsung Kies will update your phone just as it has done for every other firmware update. Samsung does recommend that if you have a pattern lock on your phone, you turn it off before updating, and the whole process shouldn't take more than half an hour. This does of course depend slightly on the computer you're using. Oh, you also need to make sure you have at least 60 MB of free space on your phone!
Have you been able to update?
UPDATE: According to Pocket-Lint ICS will be available in the UK from the week commencing 19th of March.... back to Madge and the clocks below it is then.
UPDATE: Here is the press release Samsung sent Engadget.
UPDATE: Some readers in Finland and Denmark have been able to upgrade over the air, without the use of Kies. (Menu > Settings > About phone > Software update > Update)
